Keep the Skinny Birds Flying Safely

I am proud to announce that N32428 is back in flying condition. It has undergone restoration and a recover job starting last November. I am excited to learn how to fly taildraggers in it.

Nice job, Carl! Fly her off grass for your first 30 hours in her, then transition to pavement. That Scott 3200 tailwheel is a bit overkill, but she’ll track and turn better with it. Thank you for returning another one of our girls to the air...
Soft landings,
Andy

Gorgeous! You’ll absolutely love it. I built up my tail wheel time in a Cessna 140 which is another great airplane. But the spring gear can be challenging to master. Our Collegiate is a much more forgiving tail wheel aircraft in my opinion. Have fun! Where are you based Carl?   Mark NC27249

Awesome Carl! She looks sensational!…. I’ve recently transitioned to tailwheel in my Porterfield and loving it! Enjoy!

I put the Scott 3200 on it since I will be flying off my dirt strip. It can get soft at times during the year and the Scott 2000 would dig in. We'll be doing one more test flight after fixing some minor issues and then I will be starting my training.

Hi, Mark

I'm flying off of my strip in Avondale, CO its 2500' of dirt at 4500' field elevation. I'm not sure if my instructor will have me train at my field or at the local airport, that's much larger.
