Mad about a different type of scale R/C model & saw the Zephyr plan on the net & thought I would build one & needed a color photo but mine is lite blue instead of dark blue as I have noticed on your site!!..
Do you own a Porterfield Airplane? N#?
Nope just the model 5 ft span. but I know someone with a Taylor craft, Luscombe, Travelaire, Stampe SV4...Like taildraggers one less wheel to worry about.
Are You a Pilot? Ratings?
Nope only R/C but have flown the Stampe
Do you have a MYSPACE profile, email address or personal website that you would like to share with others?
Welcome to our wee club for the skinny birds, Al! I hope you find plenty of photos in our archives to inspire your model building. I used to fly hot air balloons with a lass from Hamilton named Louise Boland and a bloke named Doug Sales...small world.
The blue bird is a 75C model (she has a Continental A75), the only one built by the factory. The prop blades are also blue and she has silver trim stripes. This old gal belongs to Bob Cable of Upland, California and is based at Cable Airport in California. She has a WWII history of performing coastal patrol along the West Coast. Her registration is NC34837, which is painted only on the tail, not the wings. She’s s/n 1657.
