"Hi, Mark I'm flying off of my strip in Avondale, CO its 2500' of dirt at 4500' field elevation. I'm not sure if my instructor will have me train at my field or at the local airport, that's much larger."

"I put the Scott 3200 on it since I will be flying off my dirt strip. It can get soft at times during the year and the Scott 2000 would dig in. We'll be doing one more test flight after fixing some minor issues and then I will be starting my…"

"Gorgeous! You’ll absolutely love it. I built up my tail wheel time in a Cessna 140 which is another great airplane. But the spring gear can be challenging to master. Our Collegiate is a much more forgiving tail wheel aircraft in my opinion.…"

"Nice job, Carl! Fly her off grass for your first 30 hours in her, then transition to pavement. That Scott 3200 tailwheel is a bit overkill, but she’ll track and turn better with it. Thank you for returning another one of our girls to the…"

Carb Heat Box for CP-65

carbbox.jpgDoes anyone know where to find/information on the round type carb heat box? It's on the CP-65 A65. All of the other boxes I have found are the square type. Would I be better off using the square type and adapting the lower cowling to fit. The cowling was damaged when the plane nosed over so I will have to fix it either way.See More

Welcome to our wee Club for the Skinny Birds, Carl!  So you bought Greg Eastman’s project?  Did he give up on her after three years, or never really get started on her?  I sure hope you can get her back in the air, where she belongs!  There’s a lot of useful, and some useless, information in the forum, blog, and photo sections...or you can just ask in the forum.

Soft landings,

Andy
