Keep the Skinny Birds Flying Safely

We visited Apollo 8 astronaut Major General William Anders Heritage Flight Museum at Skagit Municipal Airport (KBVS) a few weeks ago. They had us park our Porterfield in one of their hangers while we visited. We were quite honored! It’s a great museum with many wonderful flying examples. They have General Anders P51 Valhalla, a Skyraider, a 1941 Interstate Cadet that was in the air with a student and instructor on Oahu when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th. Also many other aircraft and exhibits honoring military aviators.
