Porterfield used as Trainer

I was corresponding with Sharon McCullar, who is the Curator at the Silent Wings Museum, about the CG-4 contract that Ed Porterfield was involved with during the WWII years. The CG-4 gliders under this contract were to be built by Ward Manufacturing Co. in Fort Smith Arkansas. We exchanged info. and She sent me this photo in their collection.
