My wife and I are the proud owners and caretakers NC27249, #738, a 1940 LP65 (with a Continental 65). This airplane was purchased new by my wife’s grandfather who owned it until about the time the war started. My wife’s father was able to reacquire it in the early 90s in need of restoration. It sat for many years, and was finally restored to pristine conditions in 2015. It’s so cool that my wife and I both get to fly her grandfathers airplane.
