Keep the Skinny Birds Flying Safely

I'm having difficulty figuring out how to repair the door latch on my 35-70.  I'm curious to see photos of the different kinds of latches Porterfield used to see if I can figure out how to source a replacement.  My mechanism is about 37/8's square and an inch thick.  I thought it was an auto component but now don't think so.  I've looked at drawings Tom sent but they aren't anything like I have. Thanks.

High Tony, not sure if my attached photos are going to help. I’ve never taken the inside door trim off to see what is in there. Also, my aircraft is later, it’s a 1941 Collegiate. Kind Regards Steve.
