Earl Kezer made 34819 from two Porterfields. This one actually belonged to Audra Kezer and not Earl. According to Earl, it was originally blue with silver wings. Earl painted everything red! This example, like most, had several owners, including the US government. It's currently in line for restoration behind 2 other airplanes. I flew it some, but it's airworthiness was questionable. So when something ripped a large bit of fuselage fabric off while parked overnight at the airport, it was brought to my storage area. And it's been resting comfortably ever since. I worked with Earl for many years welding wrecked & rusted fuselages. Several of us rebuilt many Champs, Cubs, Citabria & others. Many fun times.

This old gal is now cared for by member Ernie Knudsen, so she’s still in Texas. The picture on Ernie’s page shows she still sports the same, all-red paint scheme. Thank you, Bill!
