Own and drive old cars, own and fly old airplane, ride old motorcycle, design, build, and fly R/C airplanes, most of my RC airplanes are old but fly well, I still like doing somethings I did when 21, but now I do them slower, but enjoy life much more than I did then. Age makes one savor things.

Jim, back in the '90s I flew an airshow routine in the Pitts displayed here. I don't remember which year that was, but the weather was awful. I had to scud-run clear across the state to make that airshow. Pretty place though. I now live in Harrison, AR and maybe we can meet up sometime.

Welcome to our wee club for the skinny birds, Jim.  If you'd like a low and slow supplement to your D model, the Porterfield would be a good choice, provided you're not taller than six feet and/or heavier than 220 pounds.  Would you prefer one you could fly home, or a project?
