Keep the Skinny Birds Flying Safely
I have a LP-65 and wonder if I can convert to a CP-65. Thoughts?

Hi Joe,
I’ve owned my LP65 since 2021. A Continental A65 had been installed in 2009. I’m not able to speak from experience as to what had to be done, but I do have a number of drawings for the engine mount, exhaust etc that I believe would be in relation to the conversion.
I'd love to get those drawings and any other help! Thanks! Joe@flycasey.com
Give me some time Joe and I’ll get them scanned and emailed to you. A couple of them are very large, much bigger than my A3 scanner.
I wouldn't mind getting a copy of those scans, too, Steve!
The A65 definitely has better support and is much more widely known by mechanics than the wee Lycoming, though the anemic O-145 runs smoother and has that lovely pucketa-pucketa sound.
